General Questions/Information
Creating and editing custom bins
These are files that are required when using command line emulation.
Generally they are found under the file name "dish.bin". With the
current EMU software available (CEMU, TOAD) you quite often do not have to edit
the provided dish.bin at all. Time zones can sometimes require file editing.
Assuming all information is entered correctly, full editing as described below
is harmless but sometimes useful.
DISH 3m Method
| 1) | Run Xcel3.0, File --> Virtual bin Image --> Rev372- Rom3b(select this one, you now have a virgin dump) | ||||||||||||||
| 2) |
|

| **Do
not close Xcel** **For Convenience save card info by clicking File --> Save Card Info and next time we create a bin we use File--> Load Card Info |
|||||||||||||||
| 3) | Load up codegen102, check off Card Version (Rom 3), Main Options (3m Activation), Blocker, Provider (DishNetwork), click Generate code. (Codegen.ne3 will be created), close codegen | ||||||||||||||
| 4) | Switch back to Xcel3.0, Select Tools --> Patch Eeprom, then in filename to be patched choose the codegen.ne3 we created above, select preview the nee file to see if there is some code and then finally apply the changes and close after. (now we should get all the channels at this point) Note: you may get an error complaining about the rev380 being an unknown version/number; ignore | ||||||||||||||
| 5) | Save the file as dish.bin and you're done |
